Per Term Lateness Consequences Students are encouraged to be on time to school and to class. Research shows that a significant portion of a student’s success in school is linked to good attendance. A student arriving late to school must first report to the office for a pass to enter class. The penalties for being late to school and class are aligned with our student Code of Conduct. Penalties for lateness begin anew each semester. A student who is late to any class other than first period must be disciplined by the teacher of that class. For lateness violations beyond the third lateness, the teacher must notify the administration by writing an office referral. 1st Lateness Verbal Warning 2nd Lateness Verbal Warning 3rd Lateness Detention 4th Lateness Parent Contact 5th Lateness Administrative Conference 6th Lateness Level 1 & II Responses from the Code of Conduct (& Beyond) (may include loss of privilege, SAP, SST referral, etc.)
