Semester-based Courses (2 marking terms in length) - each marking period grade will count as one-half (½, 50%) of the final grade. If a student earns an E or D in the first term of a semester course, they can have no lower than a D in the final term to earn a passing grade. 7. Full-year courses (4 marking terms in length) - each marking period grade will count onefourth (1/4, 25%) of the final grade. Earning a D in term 4 does not supersede the requirement for the final grade to calculate to a passing grade.
