School delays and closings for the Wicomico County Public School system can be found by: ~ accessing the district website – www.wcboe.org ~ receiving the phone call and/or email generated through the school district School Messenger program (Note: this program uses the primary contact information listed on the Student Personal Data & Emergency Record form.) ~ watching and listening to local television and radio stations. When there is a delay, the school schedule will be modified. We will rotate between the 2 delay schedules. *ESOL at Schumaker continues with either delay rotation. A Day in the Herd Students may not leave school property, nor return to their cars, once they have arrived at school until the end of their school day. Students are dismissed at 2:45pm. Unless participating in a scheduled after-school activity, ALL students should be out of the building by 3:00pm. Students are not permitted to roam the halls after school. Students staying for an afterschool activity, must be with the advisor/teacher/coach. Arrival to School Students eating breakfast at school may enter the cafeteria at 7:20am. *Only enter the cafeteria if you are going to sit and eat breakfast. Students enter at 7:37am (Unless going to the cafeteria for breakfast) During inclement weather we will open the gymnasium for students not entering the cafeteria for breakfast (below freezing, hard rain, etc.). Students who drive to school must leave their cars and the parking lot as soon as they arrive.
